All the innovations we do are aimed at making the building envelope more sustainable. That means two things: using the right materials and then applying those materials in dismountable systems.
The right materials
- For roofing, this is obvious. The right mateiraal is EPDM. It is scientifically proven that EPDM has the lowest environmental cost among building materials (with a NI-BE score of 1A). To determine that score, the composition and volume of the product, how it is produced and transported are considered.
demountability
Because we want to apply our products circularly, we are looking for roof systems that are dismountable. That demountability is necessary to give the used materials a second life. In early 2023, we succeeded in installing a 100% circular roof system for the first time with our BossCover Circular System.
