When working at height, there arealways risks. Fall protection is therefore essential. Having worked on roofs and facades for several decades, we know the risks and how to manage them better than anyone else.
Did you know. As a building owner, you share responsibility for the safety of people you allow on your roof? You can read about it in our blog on fall protection.
Fall protection is essential to ensure the safety of anyone working at height. A fall is still one of the biggest causes of serious occupational accidents in construction. By providing collective or individual fall protection, risks are minimized and legal obligations around occupational safety are met.
The building owner or manager is responsible for providing safe conditions on the roof, including fall protection. He or she must ensure that proper collective or personal protective equipment is in place when working at heights. Performers or contractors are then required to use those facilities properly and comply with safety regulations. In other words, the duty to provide fall protection lies with the building owner, the duty to use it safely with the performers.
Tectum Group supplies collective and individual fall protection systems for roof and facade. This includes aluminum fold-down or fixed aluminum fencing, cage and gable ladders, anchor points and lifelines. But also walkways and maintenance paths.
Collective systems (e.g., guardrails, cage ladders) protect several people at once. Individual or personal systems (anchor points and lifelines) require each user to wear personal protective equipment.
