Some managers from Tectum Group placed a new flat roof on the new pet food bank and second-hand store of VZW Beestig Wijs in Genk free of charge. Partner Soprema supplied all the necessary roofing material free of charge.

VZW Beestig Wijs is committed to helping young people who have dropped out of school. Here they are given the opportunity to actively participate in unique human and animal projects.

To encourage our employees to eat healthier, we undertake several initiatives. For example, on Fridays, in addition to the standard sandwiches, we are introducing a healthier alternative such as a delicious salad, fresh soup, etc. We are launching "Tasty Tuesday" where an employee cooks healthy food for colleagues. We offer our workers frigoboxes with healthy food. And we will be more conscious about meat during one of our many company events.

We are reintroducing Tectum Sport where we encourage employees to start playing sports and guide them through the sports process.

We are continuing to build our Tectum University into the reference when it comes to training in construction. An auditorium will be provided to train employees, students, customers and suppliers alike. This can be done physically in the auditorium in our main building in Genk, but can also be done through digital channels. Each training will be organized hybridly.

In addition to our efforts to produce our own renewable energy, we also purchase green electricity and are working on a monitoring system to closely track our energy consumption.

We continue to focus on prefab and circular solutions. Prefab because they have a lower carbon footprint than products produced on-site. Circular solutions because they can be fully or partially disassembled and reused, thus having a much lower impact on the environment and society.

We work with organizations such as Fedasil and VDAB to get people who are currently without jobs back into the labor market. This by training unemployed people to become roofers from A to Z to come work with us. No prior knowledge is needed. Only the right motivation and attitude.

We are investing in making our buildings more sustainable. In Warsaw (Poland), a new office is being built that will meet European sustainability requirements.

In Brussels, we are renovating the Tectum Dekkers site, creating a green oasis in our capital. Our roof will be covered by our innovative and self-developed product, BossCover Circular System. A 100% circular and demountable roofing system.

VZW Tandem is an organization that cares for and supports people with mental and/or cognitive disabilities. Tectum Group is committed to helping renovate the buildings.
