As Assistant Project Manager, you will be the right hand of the Project Manager and support him in various aspects of project management. You will be inducted into two main areas namely repair work and project management
- You will support the project manager in the preparation of projects such as collecting and getting technical sheets approved and working out execution details.
- You check in advance what practical matters need to be arranged, such as permits, cranes and parking spaces, and make sure everything is in place on time.
- During execution, you are the eyes and ears on the job site. You check the quality of the work, keep track of the site stock and make sure materials are ordered and delivered on time.
- You will be present at site start-ups, both for permanent shifts and subcontractors, and assist with practical organization on site.
- You are in regular contact with the workers and subcontractors, instructing them and ensuring that the work is done safely and according to plan.
- Measurements of work performed are also your responsibility, so that the project manager can prepare correct progress reports.
Everything happens in close cooperation with the project leader, who will guide you and help you grow in your role. In time, there are opportunities for advancement to a project leader position, should you have that ambition.
In your luggage is:
- A degree in construction (higher education) or experience as a site manager.
- Knowledge of roofing and waterproofing is a great asset.
- A fluent command of Dutch and a good knowledge of French.
- You have strong organizational, hands on and communication skills
- Handiness with most current PC software.
