As part of the Tectum Group , Tectum DSB specializes in new construction and renovation projects with a focus on flat roofs and sloped roofs, liquid waterproofing and facades. Our expertise lies in large, complex buildings for professional clients in the B2B sector (public buildings, industrial partners, property owners, building managers, general contractors...).


Does this job description appeal to you?

  • As a a people manager , your main responsibility is to coach and lead your team of project managers, an administrative team, about fifty roofers, and roughly a handful of subcontractors. With your keen eye for their talents and skills, you help them reach the next level.
  • Thanks to your operational bird's-eye view , you maintain an overview of your branch’s project portfolio. Together with the project team, you ensure that the preparation, organization and execution of projects runs smoothly.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the revenue and margin targets are met. In addition, you monitor the KPIs and, based on this data, take the necessary measures to achieve the targets. You stay on top of things by conducting thorough post-sale cost analyses.
  • In addition, you are also responsible for building and maintaining a good relationship with the customer. Thanks to your problem-solving skills , you always manage to create a win-win situation for both parties.

 

Do any of the following points sound familiar to you?

  • You have a college degree, preferably in economics or a technical field.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a management position in the construction industry.
  • Technical knowledge of roofs and facades is an asset.
  • You’re a natural communicator: you have excellent communication skills and know better than anyone how to convey information in a way that’s easy to understand.
  • You have a strong economic vision and are able to translate a strategy into concrete actions.
  • You take a customer-focused approach based on a long-term vision and continue to surprise people with your solutions.
  • You have a knack for languages and can express yourself fluently in both Dutch and French (Tectum DSB is located in Woutersbrakel, Walloon Brabant, so 80% of the population speaks French).


Who do you work with?

  • Business Unit Director: You report directly to the Business Unit Director. You meet weekly to closely monitor ongoing business matters.
  • Project Team: You’ll lead a team of three project managers. You’ll form a close-knit team, learn from one another, and help each other out when needed.
  • Administrative Clerks: Together with the administrative assistants, you’ll handle all kinds of matters related to personnel and site administration and maintain a clear overview of purchase and sales invoices.
  • Account Manager: You’ll work closely with the sales department. Together, you’ll assess the feasibility of the planned targets and the expected returns.
  • Client: You’ll build a strong relationship with the client and serve as the point of contact throughout the project.
  • Management: You will collaborate with management to ensure operational continuity and participate in management meetings.
