To strengthen our team at Tectum Dekkers Genk, we are looking for a construction administrator, with the possibility of a permanent position.

As a construction administrator, you will play a key role in two areas: procurement and inventory management on the one hand, and subcontractor oversight on the other. You will ensure that the related administrative processes run efficiently, accurately, and smoothly.
Purchasing & Inventory Management
- You manage order requests in the software package
- You create create purchase orders and ensure they are processed correctly for the warehouse
- You process changes to the order (e.g., out-of-stock items) and update it accordingly
- You are responsible for determining the inventory value on a monthly basis. In doing so, you take into account both the inventory in the warehouse and the on-site inventory. You ensure that the data is accurately recorded in the system and regularly conduct spot checks and physical inventory counts in the warehouse to verify the accuracy of the inventory.
- You are responsible for tracking and ensuring the timely ordering of practical site supplies, such as gas and small equipment. In addition, you are responsible for requesting and tracking container exchanges in a timely manner
- You will assist with the procurement of new equipment: you will select suppliers, compare quotes, and coordinate your proposal with the business unit manager to reach a final decision.
Monitoring of subcontractors
- Using our software package, you will prepare the budget for subcontractors.
- You are responsible for drafting and managing contracts with subcontractors.
- You will gather the required documents and ensure that they are entered into the system correctly and completely.

Your luggage contains:
- You hold a bachelor’s degree and have several years of experience in an administrative role
- You work with precision and in an organized manner
- You communicate effectively with various internal and external parties
- Experience in the construction industry is a major asset
- You have experience with ERP systems and are very proficient in using Microsoft 365
- You'll be up and running in no time with new software and digital tools
