Does this job description appeal to you?

As a senior estimator, you are ultimately responsible for developing and calculating accurate and competitive cost estimates. You calculate material usage, labor hours, and site organization, and compare these figures against realistic profit margins and market prices.

You analyze and interpret complex documents (plans, specifications, and terms of reference) and translate them into technically sound and commercially strong proposals. If necessary, you visit the job site to get a realistic picture of the condition of the roof and the surrounding area.

You will actively contribute ideas on how to optimize costing processes, tools, and methodologies, thereby helping to further professionalize the department.

You will support and coach less experienced estimators and share your knowledge and expertise within the team.

You will work closely with the sales and operations teams and ensure a smooth handoff of cases to the execution phase.

Do any of the following points sound familiar to you?

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a field related to architecture, or you have equivalent experience
• You have several years of experience as a cost estimator in the construction industry and are familiar with the entire project estimation process, having been responsible for materials, labor hours, site organization, and pricing
• You have an excellent command of Dutch and French, enabling you to communicate easily with customers, suppliers, and internal teams throughout Belgium.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in commonly used IT systems

 Who do you work with?

• Head of Research: You will report directly to the head of research.
• Account Manager: You’ll work closely with the account managers from the various departments. Together, you’ll discuss potential technical solutions and the project’s return on investment.
• Administrative staff in the study department: these powerhouse women help you gather the necessary documents and put together application files.
