Traditionally, all workers at Tectum Group were invited to an annual safety day on the first working day of the year.
Safety Day, as the name implies, is all about safety. Our men were immersed for a full day in safety training. Various subjects were discussed, such as securing loads, ergonomics, LMRA, asbestos, chemical agents, PPE, etc. Around 200 employees were able to start the new working year together and with refreshed safety instructions.
Each topic was first explained theoretically. This was followed by practical exercises in which everyone could participate. In this way we ensured a good balance between theory and practice, because this day was all about learning and doing.
Safety days are a particularly effective way to emphasize the importance of safety within our organization and to increase commitment and safety awareness. It also allows us to provide necessary refresher training to our workers in a timely manner. In this way, we work together towards the same goal: ensuring a pleasant and safe workplace.
