Roof renovation

The roof of the Garden District was outdated and no longer met current standards for energy efficiency. Tectum Group undertook a comprehensive renovation by stripping the roof down to the screed. The process involved the installation of a bituminous vapour barrier, a layer of PIR insulation and PVC roofing to cover a total roof area of 3500 m². This renovation resulted in significant energy savings and increased comfort in the apartments.

Facade renovation

The old facade of the Tuinwijk apartment building also required replacement, prompting Tectum Group to demolish it entirely down to the supporting structure. Subsequently, an aluminum exoskeleton was installed. The new facades were insulated with Rockwool and adorned with customized Rockpanel panels in a pistachio green color. This not only enhanced the insulation of the apartments, but also contributes to the improved aesthetics of the neighborhood.

In addition to the roof and facade renovation, Tectum Group also renovated 24 interior terraces. The terraces are equipped with a 15 cm high balustrade. This allows residents to enjoy their terraces safely and comfortably.
