Repair with liquid waterproofing during one of the interventions.

After more than 20 interventions, it became clear that the old gravel ballasted roofing no longer met the requirements. The gravel was removed and the existing 10 cm rock wool and loose PVC roofing was carefully removed. This roof package was replaced with a high-quality bituminous vapor barrier, 10 cm of PIR for insulation and sealed with a 2-layer bituminous waterproofing.

The challenges during the renovation were not minor, especially finishing details around the technical installations in confined spaces required expertise. The cooperation between building manager Anchor 18 and Cronos' facility manager, Guido went very smoothly and resulted in a successful delivery of the project.

A striking example of this is the recent roof renovation of one of De Cronos Group's company buildings in Kontich. Faced with an aging PVC roof that showed signs of wear and leakage, a major renovation was necessary to ensure the quality and safety of the building.
