Roof renovation pump house - BossCover Circular System

Flat roofs
Circular roofs

Placement process

The installation process of the BossCover Circular System is similar to that of a standard EPDM roof. In particular, the difference lies in the fixation in the bilge and roof tops. Before the EPDM is installed, a bottom profile is first installed in the bilge, which is fixed in the upstand as well as in the roof. Then the EPDM is fixed in the bilge with a cover profile. For this project, the EPDM is finished with a green roof, which also serves as ballast.

Watch the following 3D animation on the assembly and disassembly of the BossCover Circular System:

The EPDM will provide waterproofing throughout the life of this pump house. Even after that, the EPDM can still be reused as roofing material for other projects. In this way, by installing a roof, we can significantly reduce our impact on the environment!‍

Let's build together

As part of the roof renovation of a pump house in Laakdal, an innovative and sustainable approach was taken. The pump house, largely built into the ground and surrounded by lush greenery, requires a roofing system that blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Therefore, the decision was made to implement the BossCover Circular System, a reusable flat roof system that fits perfectly with a vision of sustainability and integration with nature. The roof was then topped with a green roof to fully blend into its surroundings.

Key Features‍

Circular Sustainability‍

The BossCover Circular System is 100% reusable. This means it can be reused not only now, but also in the future, minimizing waste and using resources efficiently.

Green roof‍

To complement the circular aspect, the roof of the pump house was fitted with a green roof. This green roof contributes to even better integration into the natural environment and offers numerous ecological benefits.

Minimal Ecological Impact

By choosing a reusable roof and green roof, this roof has a lower carbon footprint and contributes to a healthier planet. Renovating our pump house with the BossCover Circular System exemplifies our commitment to sustainability and natural harmony. The result will not only be a more efficient and environmentally responsible pump house, but also a great example of how architecture can seamlessly merge with the surrounding nature.‍
