The roof structure of the new restaurant in Tournai is a hot roof system. A self-adhesive vapor barrier was placed on top of the profiled steel plate, then PIR insulation and finished with a two-layer, root-resistant, bituminous roofing. On top of that, a green roof was installed as well as several anchor points for fall protection.
For beautification of the facade, it was decided to install a partial green facade. The green facade is equipped with an automatic watering and fertilization system to keep the plants in top condition.
Finally, this new building was also equipped with a fall protection system.

In total, we have already provided over 20 branches for McDonald's with our solutions. What makes the projects at McDonald's special is their tight deadline. For a new building they use a standard of 14 weeks. The opening date is communicated very quickly and the project must be ready at all costs. Fortunately, we have enough shifts of roofers that we can use flexibly to meet these deadlines.
The cooperation is greatly appreciated from McDonald's because we offer different services, coordinate them internally and thereby relieve the customer. It is this way of working together that we really believe in. We want to offer more than just roofing and facade work. We want our customer to be able to count on us, trust us 100% and also save resources and time by partnering with us.
Be sure to check out the beautiful new construction for the McDonald's restaurant in Aarschot where we also installed glass railings on the first floor. Here the customers can enjoy eating their burger in the sun while overlooking the green roof.
