Building Strong Leadership

At Tectum Group , we build sustainable roofs and facades every day. But just as important is what lies behind the scenes: the people who bring our projects to life and help our organization move forward every day.

Following the spin-off of Tectum Group within the Biesmans Group, we made a conscious decision to adopt a new organizational structure that grants our business units greater responsibility and fosters a spirit of entrepreneurship. This requires not only technical expertise but also strong leadership—leaders who provide direction, collaborate, and continue to grow.

That is why we are making a conscious effort today to invest in the continued development of our executive team and Business Unit Managers.

Investing in People

Together with Motmans & Partners, our managers participate in a Development Center. The goal is not to evaluate people, but to better identify their strengths, opportunities for growth, and ability to collaborate.

Kris Bloemen , the CEO, is also participating in the program himself.

"If we expect our people to continue to grow, we as management must also set a good example ourselves."

That belief aligns perfectly with the culture at Tectum Group. Personal development doesn’t stop once you reach a leadership position. On the contrary, that’s precisely when it becomes important to keep learning, reflecting, and growing.

Leadership starts with people

The construction industry is evolving at a rapid pace. New technologies, digitization, and artificial intelligence are offering more and more opportunities to work more efficiently. But one thing remains the same.

"Artificial intelligence will never install a roof."

That quote from Kris Bloemen perfectly sums up what Tectum Group stands for. Technology helps us move forward, but ultimately, it’s our people who make the difference. Their expertise, experience, teamwork, and commitment form the foundation of our quality.

That is why we invest not only in innovation, but above all in the people behind our projects.

A learning organization

The leadership program is not a standalone initiative. Through Tectum University, we have been investing for years in training, knowledge sharing, and personal development for blue-collar workers, white-collar employees, and managers—ranging from technical and safety training to knowledge platforms and the internal exchange of expertise.

The Development Center represents the next step in that ambition. It helps our leaders further strengthen their roles and work together to build an organization that is ready for the future.

Because strong projects start with strong people. And strong people deserve the opportunity to keep growing.
