Genk, Thursday, August 27, 2026 – A roof often doesn’t get attention until a problem arises. Tectum Group . aims to turn that approach on its head with RoofComfort. Under this name, the group offers an integrated approach to professional roof management, fully tailored to each customer’s situation and needs. RoofComfort may include periodic maintenance, technical inspections, 24/7 emergency service, repairs, and, if necessary, renovations.

The basic principle is simple: no two buildings or roofs are alike. That is why RoofComfort does not rely on a single standard approach. We work with the customer to determine the appropriate course of action, taking into account their needs, available budget, and the specific environmental factors affecting the buildings and roofs.

Twice a year, we perform maintenance on 40,000 m² of flat roofs—including green roofs—for UZA in Edegem.

From reacting to problems to proactive roof management

For organizations with multiple buildings, roof management is often complex. Different locations, roof types, ages, and technical systems make it difficult to maintain a clear overview. Furthermore, minor defects that go unnoticed can eventually lead to leaks, damage, and unexpected costs.

RoofComfort therefore takes the current condition of a client’s roof portfolio as its starting point. For one client, the focus may be on periodic maintenance and technical inspections, while another organization may primarily need a reliable partner for rapid response and repairs. A combination of different services is also possible.

“For us, good roof management doesn’t start with a standard maintenance contract, but with the question of what a client and their buildings truly need,” says Kristof Vanlommel of Tectum Group. “We assess the condition of the roofs, the environment in which they’re located, the client’s expectations, and the available budget. Based on that, we work together to determine which approach offers the greatest certainty.”

Maintenance, inspection, and service when needed

Depending on the agreed-upon approach, RoofComfort may include periodic maintenance and technical inspections. This allows potential issues to be identified early on and enables timely action to be taken before minor defects lead to major problems.

If an unexpected problem does arise, customers can also count on 24/7 service calls and repairs as part of their RoofComfort plan. And when local repairs are no longer sufficient or a roof reaches the end of its useful life, a partial or complete renovation can also be included.

This creates a continuum ranging from preventive maintenance to renovation, with a single partner who knows the roof and its history.

For WDP in Puurs, it was decided to renovate the entire roof after years of repairs and maintenance.

An approach that evolves alongside the roof heritage

Furthermore, a roof’s needs do not necessarily remain the same. The age of the roofing material, new technical installations, solar panels, changing weather conditions, or changes in a building’s use can all influence the required maintenance.

That is why the approach at RoofComfort can be adapted over time.

“Our goal isn’t to perform as many interventions as possible, but to help customers carry out the right interventions at the right time,” Vanlommel continues. “By conducting regular monitoring of roofs, we can better coordinate maintenance, repairs, and future renovations. That gives the customer more control over their roof and their budget.”

Rest assured about your roof with RoofComfort

RoofComfort is marketed as a commercial service by Tectum Group and implemented by the specialized teams at Tectum RoofComfort. But the approach behind RoofComfort is anything but new.

Tectum Roofcomfort was founded 25 years ago specifically to relieve organizations with a large and dispersed property portfolio of their roofing concerns. Over the years, the organization, its people, and its operations have been fully tailored to that specific mission.

That experience has taught us that managing dozens or even hundreds of roofs throughout Belgium requires a fundamentally different approach than a one-time repair or renovation of a flat roof. It’s not just about technical expertise, but also about continuity, accessibility, knowledge of the built heritage, planning, reporting, and setting the right priorities. Furthermore, every building has its own specific use, surroundings, risks, and budgetary context.

Tectum Group manages approximately 450 roofs for Retail Estates.

With RoofComfort, Tectum Group is giving this proven approach a fresh new look. The experience that Tectum RoofComfort has built up over the past 25 years forms the foundation for this. Depending on your needs, budget, and environmental factors, RoofComfort can include periodic maintenance, technical inspections, 24/7 emergency service, repairs, and renovations.

Tectum Group , for example, aims not only to help building managers when a problem arises, but also to provide them with ongoing support in managing their entire roof portfolio.

25 years of experience in roof management, all in one place with RoofComfort. You can count on your roof.
