An architectural monument with a rich history gets new life. Tectum Group is responsible for the renovation and restoration of the roofs of the legendary Hotel Métropole. In total it involves 3,000 m² of flat roofs, 1,000 m² of sloping roofs in zinc and 500 m² of sloping roofs in natural slate. The works, carried out in 2025-2026, combine authentic restoration techniques with contemporary waterproofing to preserve the historic character of the building and protect it for the future.
The former Anspach building, known for many years as the headquarters of bpost, will receive a thorough renovation and new use as a mixed-use project with offices, stores and hospitality.
Tectum Group was responsible for the renovation of the flat roofs, representing a total area of 24,350 m². For this purpose, 13,000 m² of BossCover EPDM and 11,350 m² of bituminous waterproofing were applied.
